· Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps individuals learn to be their own therapists. Through exercises in session, as well as “homework” outside of sessions, clients are educated on helpful tools, develop coping skills, & learn to change their own thinking, problematic emotions, and behavior.
· Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) helps people manage intense emotions and improve their relationships. DBT is based on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), but differs in that DBT is mostly focused on how a person interacts with others and themselves. It tends to use mindfulness philosophies to help patients accept themselves and their environment. Meanwhile, CBT tends to be more logic-focused.
· Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) is a psychotherapy treatment that enables people to heal from symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of trauma and other disturbing life experiences. The brain’s information processing system naturally moves toward mental wellness. If the system is blocked or imbalanced by the impact of a disturbing event, the emotional wound festers and can cause intense suffering (similar to a physical wound). Once the block is removed, healing resumes. Utilizing various procedures (Eye movements and tapping) clinicians help clients activate their natural healing processes.

Our fast-paced culture keeps us in our sympathetic nervous system (flight-or-fight), where our body releases stress hormones, which cause anxious feelings and attack our immune system. This ancient mind-body practice shifts us to the parasympathetic system, where we return to our natural, relaxed state of being - like “hitting the reset button” on your body, mind and spirit. Other benefits: decreased anxiety, improved sleep, enhanced mood, stimulated metabolism, improved balance, flexibility and concentration. Yoga is beneficial and accessible all ages and fitness levels. Private individual and group yoga lessons are available.

Music and sound have been used as healing modalities by various cultures for centuries. Like massage therapy, which delivers healing through touch, essentially music and sound are sensory therapies which can help to ease, energize, organize and empower us.
